FAQ
Q
When using your company's electronic magnetic ring, I found that the inductance did not reach the expected value. How can I troubleshoot the problem?
A
The inductance does not meet the expected value. You can investigate from the following aspects. First, check if the magnetic ring selection is correct. Different specifications of magnetic rings are suitable for different application scenarios, and the inductance design value is also different. If the selection is correct, then check the winding method and number of turns. Insufficient turns or loose winding will reduce the inductance. In addition, whether there is physical damage to the magnetic ring, such as cracks, notches, etc., can also affect the inductance performance. If there are no issues with the above aspects, it may be due to inaccurate measuring instruments or improper measurement methods. You can gradually investigate in this order, and if it still cannot be resolved, you can contact our technical support personnel.
Q
Will the performance of your company's magnetic ring products be affected by long-term use in high temperature and high humidity environments?
A
Our magnetic ring products have been specially designed and processed to have good temperature and moisture resistance. In general high temperature and high humidity environments (temperature 85 ℃, relative humidity 85%), short-term use (such as 1-2 weeks), the performance is basically not affected. But if exposed to this environment for a long time, there may be a slight decrease in magnetic permeability, aging of surface coatings, and other factors that can affect the overall performance of the magnetic ring. However, by choosing appropriate protective measures such as adding sealed enclosures and implementing moisture-proof treatments, the service life of magnetic rings can be effectively extended in harsh environments.
Q
During the use of rotor paint, it was found that the hardness of the paint film was insufficient after drying. What factors are causing this?
A
There may be multiple reasons for insufficient hardness of the paint film. Firstly, it may be due to incomplete curing, as the curing temperature and time did not meet the product requirements. Our rotor paint generally recommends a curing temperature of 120 ℃ -150 ℃ and a curing time of 2-4 hours, which can be adjusted according to the actual situation. Secondly, excessive addition of diluent changes the formula ratio of the paint and affects the performance of the paint film. Furthermore, the construction environment is too humid, and in high humidity environments (relative humidity exceeding 70%), it may cause the paint film to absorb moisture during the drying process, affecting its hardness. You can check the curing conditions, diluent dosage, and environmental humidity. If you have any questions, please feel free to communicate with us at any time.
Q
How to solve the problem of poor leveling during the construction process of the purchased thermosetting powder coating?
A
The poor leveling performance of thermosetting powder coatings during construction may be due to low construction temperatures. It is generally recommended that the construction environment temperature be between 18 ℃ and 25 ℃. Low temperatures can increase the melting viscosity of the coating, affecting leveling. The distance between the spray gun and the workpiece is too far or the spraying pressure is not appropriate, which can also cause poor leveling. The normal distance between the spray gun and the workpiece should be 15-20cm, and the spraying pressure should be maintained at 0.3-0.5MPa. Also, quality issues with the coating itself, such as uneven particle size distribution, may also cause this problem. You can adjust the construction temperature and spray gun parameters first. If the problem persists, you can contact us and we will investigate the quality of the coating.
Q
What is the reason for the phenomenon of coating peeling off after insulation spraying processing of electronic components?
A
Coating detachment may be caused by the following reasons. One reason is that the surface treatment of electronic components is not in place before spraying, such as oil stains, dust, rust, etc., which affects the adhesion between the coating and the substrate. Secondly, during the spraying process, the process parameters were set unreasonably, such as spraying pressure, spray gun distance, spraying thickness, etc., which did not meet the requirements. In addition, if the processed product is subjected to frequent mechanical friction, chemical corrosion, or drastic temperature changes during use, it may also cause the coating to peel off. You can first check the surface treatment and spraying process of the product. If it still cannot be solved, you can send the relevant product back and we will conduct detailed testing and analysis.
Q
Is there a difference in the effectiveness of the anti-interference magnetic ring produced by your company in suppressing high-frequency interference and low-frequency interference?
A
Our anti-interference magnetic ring has good suppression effects on interference of different frequencies, but the emphasis is different. For high-frequency interference (generally referring to frequencies above 1MHz), magnetic rings utilize their high impedance characteristics to convert high-frequency currents into heat energy and effectively suppress the transmission of high-frequency interference signals. For low-frequency interference (usually in the range of 1kHz to 1MHz), magnetic rings mainly reduce the impact of low-frequency interference by changing the path of the interference current, so that the magnetic fields formed by them cancel each other out. Overall, significant anti-interference effects can be achieved within their respective frequency ranges of expertise.
Q
How long does it take for the coil to be impregnated with insulation paint for curing? How can we accelerate curing?
A
The curing time of our coil impregnated insulation paint is related to factors such as ambient temperature, humidity, and paint film thickness. Under standard environmental conditions (temperature 25 ℃, relative humidity 50%), natural curing generally takes 24-48 hours. If you want to accelerate the curing process, you can use heating curing method to control the temperature between 80 ℃ -120 ℃. Depending on the thickness of the paint film, the curing time can be shortened to 1-3 hours. However, it should be noted that the heating temperature should not be too high, otherwise it may affect the performance of the insulation paint.
Q
What is the reason for the unstable magnetic permeability of the purchased electronic magnetic ring?
A
There may be multiple reasons for the instability of magnetic permeability. On the one hand, it may be due to the presence of strong interference sources in the usage environment, such as alternating magnetic fields generated by high-power motors, transformers, and other equipment nearby, which affect the performance of the magnetic ring. On the other hand, if the magnetic ring is subjected to severe vibrations or collisions during transportation or storage, it may cause damage to its internal structure, thereby affecting its magnetic permeability. Also, using temperatures beyond the operating temperature range specified by the magnetic ring (usually -40 ℃ -125 ℃, with differences among different models) can also cause unstable magnetic permeability. You can check the usage environment and the appearance of the magnetic ring. If you cannot determine the cause, you can contact us to arrange for professional personnel to assist in troubleshooting.
Q
How does your company's magnetic ring insulation paint perform at different environmental temperatures?
A
Our magnetic ring specific insulation paint adopts advanced formulas and processes, and has good insulation, adhesion, and drying speed at room temperature (around 25 ℃). When the ambient temperature rises, as long as it does not exceed its tolerance range (generally 150 ℃ -200 ℃, depending on the product model), the insulation performance remains stable, but the drying time may be appropriately shortened; At low temperatures (above 0 ℃), the insulation performance is basically not affected, but the drying speed will slow down. If it is below 0 ℃, it is recommended to take appropriate heating measures to ensure the best coating effect.
Q
What should I do if the curing time of the insulation paint for magnetic rings is too long?
A
Reason: The curing time is influenced by various factors. On the one hand, environmental temperature and humidity are crucial for the curing process. At low temperatures, the molecular activity of paint decreases, the chemical reaction rate slows down, and the curing time is prolonged; In high humidity environments, moisture may mix into the paint layer and interfere with the curing reaction. On the other hand, improper paint ratio can also cause problems, such as insufficient amount of curing agent, which cannot fully trigger cross-linking reaction, resulting in incomplete curing and increased time consumption. In addition, excessive coating makes it difficult for the internal paint to come into contact with sufficient oxygen and heat, resulting in slow curing from the outside to the inside, which can also lead to longer overall curing time. ?
Solution: The working environment temperature can be raised to 25 ℃ -30 ℃, and the relative humidity can be controlled at 40% -60% to create suitable conditions for the curing reaction. Carefully check the paint mix ratio and strictly follow the ratio specified in the product manual to ensure accurate dosage of curing agent. If the coating is too thick, the thickness of each coating can be appropriately reduced, and multiple thin coatings can be used for construction, which can ensure the quality of the coating and accelerate the curing speed.
